Our Story

About Blessed Sacrament Catholic Elementary School

Blessed Sacrament Catholic elementary school was opened in the mid-1950s. The school is located on the east-central Hamilton mountain near the intersection of Fennell Avenue East and Upper Gage Street. We serve 254 students from JK to Grade 8. The school consists of two distinct communities - the community in close proximity to the school and the neighbourhood at the end of Upper Gage at Rymal Road.

At Blessed Sacrament School, we believe in the uniqueness of every student. We are an inclusive Catholic school community that offers individualized programs through Special Education.

Our relationship with Blessed Sacrament Parish supports our school's Catholic environment. Father Charlie Jordan is a regular visitor to the school and celebrates school, divisional and class Masses regularly. Our staff work with Father Charlie in Sacramental preparation and faith formation.

Community groups who use our school include the Catholic Youth Organization, International Language classes, the Blessed Sacrament Basketball League and Blessed Sacrament Parish.

Mission + Vision Statementcross

At Blessed Sacrament School, we believe in fostering the unique and beautiful gifts of all children. In collaboration with home, parish and community, we are dedicated to providing a vibrant, Christ-centred learning environment where children are encouraged to be life-long learners and respectful and responsible contributors to our world. Through teaching and modelling, we strive for students to grow in faith, love and compassion as they follow Jesus’ path.
