Principal's Welcome Message
Welcome to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Elementary School! It is with privilege, excitement and honour that I take on the role of my Catholic leadership journey as the new Principal of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Elementary School.
As the leader of the school, I will continue to put forth my upmost care and dedication to leading the school community. I believe in people. All of us have many wonderful gifts and talents to share and are all called to LOVE and to share who we are with each other, the staff, the students, the parents and the parish representatives. Together we can continue to make Blessed Sacrament a great place to learn, to grow and to share God’s many blessings. May God continue to bless all of us as we journey together as a Catholic Faith Community.
As a Catholic School Community, we all strive for academic excellence and to be a constant, living expression of God’s kindness to others. At Blessed Sacrament we will enable all learners to achieve their potential in a Christ-centered environment. Our school will provide your children with a rich, diverse and varied education. Our Staff is dedicated to reaching every child and helping each one to become the best person they can be: striving for academic excellence, a strong love of learning and continuous improvement while honouring our uniqueness. We work closely with and support parents in educating our students with Catholic values, traditions and culture.
Our children will use the example of our Lord Jesus Christ and demonstrate respect, responsibility, safety, harmony, compassion, tolerance, forgiveness, charity, faith and service. Together our children will be united through daily prayer and by helping others. Our children will participate in all aspects of our Catholic Faith and Traditions such as prayer, liturgies, Masses and in the reception all our sacraments.
At Blessed Sacrament Catholic Elementary School we will model:
• a Christ-centred curriculum based on gospel values
• a safe, orderly and inviting school environment
• a clear mission
• student involvement and responsibility
• strong instructional leadership
• high expectations for all students
• opportunities to learn
• focus on instruction and curriculum
• frequent monitoring of student progress
• student recognition
• a pro-active home-school-parish relationship
Please assist us in working to form a community of learning that teaches not only the skills for material success, but also the skills needed to live our faith fully in this world.
We are looking forward to continuing our positive relationship with our Parish Community of Most Blessed Sacrament Church and the Pastor Reverend Father Charlie Jordan. We also look forward to working and praying with our Youth Minister Rachel McNamara. We will work closely with the Pastoral team to plan Masses, sacramental programs and classroom visits.
Parent volunteers are welcomed and appreciated as they enrich the daily experiences of our students. Our Catholic School Council will continue to take an active role in the daily lives of our students.
Wishing all our families, our children and our staff a year filled with much merriment, excitement, success, personal, academic and spiritual growth. May the Holy Family, Jesus, Mary and Joseph, fill us with faith, hope, peace and tranquility during this school year.
Yours in Catholic Education,
Mrs. J. Frappa, Principal
